Division of Allied Health Sciences and Nursing

The Division of Allied Health Sciences and Nursing of Southern University at Shreveport, Louisiana is committed to educational excellence through the promotion of an environment that values cultural diversity, professionalism, and community service. As the largest and most diversified overall instructional unit at the University, the Division of Allied Health Sciences and Nursing is a division of the Office of Academic Affairs and offers seven (7) associate degrees and six (6) certificate programs, and one (1) technical diploma program. These programs prepare competent, entry-level health care personnel who possess the knowledge, skills and attitudes consistent with the expectations of the public and the profession.
